I sat under the Strangling Tree, as some cats called it, quietly. I yawned slightly as I stretched my body into a bow. My sharp talons digging into the soil. I turned and stretched again on the tree. My claws sharpining into it's trunk. I heard the Frostclan resided somewhere near here. So I would wait here. I suppose.

The wind hugged the world tightly in her fond embrase as I sat. My harks pricked and moving with the wind. My small nose flared slightly, taking in the smell of wind. Tree and flower. I also smelled a field rat. My deep green eyes jolted to it's derection. All I detected was the blades of grass moving slightly with it's body wieght. I lowered into a hunting crouch and stalked low to the ground. I got so close I could now see it's furry body. A quick snap of my jaws was all it took and it breathed it's last. . .

I padded to a secluded place and ate my fill of the rodent. My eyes landed on a low branch of the tree. One, if I judged correctly, I could jump from the gound, and just barely make it. I then allighned myself and leaped. My claws dug into it hard. My strong front limbs pulling my wieght up onto the branch. I laid carefully on the thickest end of the branch. I let my tail dangle off the limb as I rested my head on one limb and fell into a hopefully peacefull sleep. . . . .

Elix watched the strange new cat. Her thick fur having the wind ripple through it as she sat, stretched out along another branch comfortably. Her ears flicked everynow and then, adjusting to a muffled silence and straining for any other scurrying. A strange cat indeed.
She stood and flexed, scraping her claws gently against the rough bark, then quietly padded slightly nearer, to observe, not too close though, not to appear as if threatening. She blinked slowly, calmly, and wondered if she should speak to this strange cat.
