Slime Mold
Literate street dog role-playing game.
"This story happened so long ago, that no one remembers it clearly anymore... They say that like ten years ago, a mysterious rottweiler called 'Gimard' came to Oosna, our city. They say that Gimard was a true fighting legend, and that his heroic victories soon earned him a vast group of followers. Followers, that shared his radical beliefs of purification, and of how only the strong would survive. Soon after the group grew to a decent size, the news of Gimard and his group stopped. The group had disappeared. They say that they went to that black castle at the outskirts of Oosna. The why was unknown to us at that time... but now it is presumed that they were training, training for the battle that was about to unleash. Time passed, and we soon forgot about Gimard and his followers. Still they would not remain forgotten for long..."
"One day, dogs began disappearing from the streets. Every morning there was one less. This soon transformed into a great mystery. Where were all these dogs going to? No one knew, and no matter how hard we tried to find out, the shadows of the night remained hidden until they wanted to be seen. Rumour were that the dogs were being killed, and their corpses hidden without leaving a trace behind. Soon, those rumours would be confirmed... of course, it was Gimard the one behind those mysterious murders, he and his followers, now known as the Gimard pack, attacked the city at night, (presumably to avoid human intervention) kid-napping any dog that they found on their path. The victims were asked if they were willing to follow Gimard... and if they gave the incorrect answer, they were killed in the act. This all remained as a secret, until Gimard decided to hide no more-- his empire had grown to a point, that there was no point in hiding anymore."
"We stood no chance, the Gimard pack soon took over Oosna. If you disagreed, or dared to bad-mouth the reign in some way, the punishment would be execution. Gimard was paranoid of a rebellion forming. But not even through their effort, they managed to avoid such thing happening. The rebellion did form, the leader being a dog called Blizzard, no one agreed what breed he was. But that did not matter. Back in the story, it is said that Blizzard entered the pack and got along serving Gimard by several years... but then he betrayed him. It had been his plan all along, the only way to get rid of this empire was to tear it apart from the inside. Without Gimard, the pack dissolved. But those last moments were the worst of them all-- multiple wars broke on, the free dogs against the pack, over and over again they fought, until no more news were heard of the dark pack again."
"The Gimard pack left again, leaving our lives in ruins. Blizzard had been killed, and with him, many, many of us. But we had managed to get rid of the evil emperor and his empire. Years passed, and all this matter laid forgotten during that time. No one wanted to remember the atrocities commited by the dark pack, so they forgot, and went on with re-building their lives instead. But by forgetting, they made a big mistake... Now the pack is returning, reborn from it's ashes like some sort of macabre phoenix, and no one remembers the past, no one knows what they really are, no one knows how to deal with them. We did not learn from our mistakes, and now we are about to pay for it all... the pack is almost big enough like to leave it's stealth mask behind now. At any moment, history will repeat itself."
"The question now is: when it repeats, will we be ready? Or will we fall once more...? Will you take our side? Will you take their's? Or will you choose neither, traveler? A single dog could turn the tides of war... your decision will decide our fate."
